Lotame and GDPR

Europe’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR“) is a comprehensive data protection law that replaced the EU Data Protection Directive (Directive 95/46/EC). It imposes new requirements on businesses that are established in the EU, as well as on businesses that collect, use and process personal data of EU data subjects.

Immediately following the passage of GDPRLotame assembled a cross-functional GDPR-Readiness team to prepare for enforcement to begin in 2018.  This team has worked tirelessly to ensure that Lotame meets its obligations, as both a controller and processor, under GDPR.  Additionally, the Lotame team has partnered with clients and vendors to address our shared obligations under the new European regulations.  Lotame has a long-standing policy of incorporating privacy-forward principles into its product development activities and these principles will continue to guide the company in its compliance efforts.
